Human Powered Vehicle (HPV)

The HPV project is the main project for our ASME club, and involves the creation of a vehicle that is powered entirely by human muscle. Various ASME chapters show off, and race their HPV at a regional competition every spring.

In the Spring 2008 competition, the Northern Arizona University ASME took first place in the tandem HPV category for the western region.

Rickshaw

The goal of the rickshaw project is to design and build a bike-pulled transport. This transport will then be used to ferry passengers as a fund-raiser for our ASME club, as well as act as a showcase piece for demonstrations.
